After anthropic fires

Species used for post-fire restoration

Description

In various plant systems, fire is an essential part of development and ecology. This adaptation to a particularly complex ecosystem disturbance gives plant systems an important value in the rehabilitation of communities exposed to fires. Whether through specialized plant structures or growth cycles, these plants will be able to colonize recently exposed soil, thereby preventing its loss through wind or water erosion. What is more, with their root exudates, they will partly help conserve the food chains of soil organisms.
